Lilly Schott, RN, IBCLC
Hi, I'm Lilly! I've been a Registered Nurse for about 20 years, working mostly in maternal-child health. After moving to the island in 2012, I started working on the Maternity unit at Martha's Vineyard Hospital. It was the first time that breastfeeding played such a central role in my professional career. I dove into continuing education and volunteering. I then sat for the International Lactation Consultant Boards, and am now an IBCLC. Follow that with breastfeeding my two little guys for the next few years, and I couldn't be more passionate about feeding support. I don't want anyone to go it alone or get outdated advice. We may be isolated on MV, but you still deserve the best!
Why it's free
Community is at the heart of what we do. Supporting our local network of families is how the Breastfeeding Network started, and we have no plans to change that. Many of our services are supported by the Family Center (MVCS), for example we host a monthly feeding workshop and visit Baby's First Year monthly to answer questions. If you feel motivated to donate above, we can always use that support to keep supplies plentiful and this website going!
Mary Alice Robinson, RN
Hello! I’m Mary Alice. I have 15 years of experience as a Registered Nurse. I moved to the island in 2005 and have worked in various healthcare areas, including acute care, emergency medicine, and surgery. Currently, I work as a full-time home care nurse. After my first child was born in 2014, I became a breastfeeding counselor and started volunteering with the Breastfeeding Network. This journey has been incredibly fulfilling for me. I'm truly passionate about education and empowerment. I enjoy meeting new families and providing support during this incredibly transformative time in their lives. I live in Tisbury with my husband, our three children, and a few cherished hens.
